To increase awareness about the lifesaving benefits of home fire sprinklers, Peg Paul and Associates and the Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board (NIFSAB), on behalf of the Illinois Fire Sprinkler Coalition, worked with WBBM-TV (CBS Chicago) to produce a 30-second public service announcement featuring a side-by-side fire and sprinkler burn demonstration in which one room is protected with a fire sprinkler and the other is not. During the fire demonstration, we see the fire extinguished in the fire sprinkler-protected room while all contents are burned after flashover occurs in the unsprinklered room.
