With more than 30+ years experience in the marketing communications industry, Peg has always been involved with consumer information and safety awareness programs. She began her career as a copywriter at a Chicago-based advertising agency working with major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, writing consumer information about various pharmaceutical, medical and health-related products and issues.  Her introduction to fire safety was on behalf of the water heater industry in 1992 when she developed and implemented a multi-million dollar consumer information and education program to prevent burn injuries and death caused by flammable vapor ignition and excessively hot tap water.

Peg founded her agency in 2000 and has worked with clients including the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, National Fire Protection Association, Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board, Vision 2020, Home Safety Council, International Society of Fire Service Instructors, Common Voices and the IRC Coalition.  Peg has acted as a media spokesperson, presenter and guest speaker on a variety of topics.

Peg has been the communications manager for the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition since 1997, where she oversees the development and implementation of educational programs for members of the fire service, local officials, consumers, home building industry, real estate and insurance agents, water purveyors and other targeted groups. Peg and her team have secured more than $10 million in Federal and corporate foundation grants.

Peg serves on the board of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Fire & Life Safety Section. She served on the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors Board of Directors for 10 years.  PPA’s work has been recognized through various industry awards including the Parents Choice Award, Telly, MarCom, Davey and AVA. The American Fire Sprinkler Association recognized Peg as the 2014 Fire Sprinkler Advocate of the Year.
